A Miraculous Survival

The Day That Changed Everything

On a day like any other in 1988, Scott Wolt — a competitive bodybuilder serving in the U.S. military — was involved in a catastrophic propane truck explosion. The fire consumed over 80 percent of his body. Doctors gave little hope.

What followed was one of the most remarkable survival stories in modern history — hundreds of days in a burn unit, many days in a coma, more than 20 surgeries, years of chronic pain, and moments of complete darkness. Yet Scott endured, found purpose, and kept training — even with bloody hands.

"Scott was convinced a guardian angel helped him survive — and now he lives to help others find their own strength."

Testimonials

"He was determined and single minded. He had learned from his weight training to work hard and never give up. He had to have people help him get weights in his hands and it was not uncommon for a training session to end with bloody hands… He does not know how to give up and never quits. No matter how hard it gets."
